Panorami mozzafiato, traccia gps molto affidabile.
A gorgeous hike. Great views, well defined paths, nice refugi. There are several ways to extend this hike; when starting your descent from the refugi if you still have some energy, return on path 8E instead of the main route. It starts at the first collection of huts below the refugi and is well marked all the way to Gimilan.
Probably there most popular hike in the valley. Even though you gain 900m, it's not a difficult hike; the path is gradual and well maintained. There are great views, a couple of waterfalls, a nice refugi, and several good extension options. Also, we have often seen lots of animals on this hike (Ibex, wild goat, marmottes, a fox, and lots of butterflies.
A beautiful hike.
We had to turn around about 80 meters below the top, due to too much snow on the path. Yet it's a worthwhile hike.
Saw many marmottes.
Gorgeous!!
This hike has everything: a pleasantly steep path up, amazing views, several waterfalls, a lot of wildlife, a nice refuge...
NOTE: on the way up, there is a 5-meter section that used to be assisted by chains, as it is very steep and exposed. The chain is broken, but there is a sturdy blue rope instead. We didn't find it difficult, but a group of youngsters we met turned around because they thought it was too dangerous.
