Nesselwang lies in the heart of one of the most important winter sports regions in Germany. Beyond the hustle and bustle of the pistes, you will find a secluded, magical winter landscape with a magnificent panorama of the 300 peaks of the Allgäu and Tyrolean Alps. On the winter hikes you can combine sport and relaxation and become one with nature. The Alpspitze lookout mountain is accessible all year round, and the winter hiking trails are prepared just below the summit.
The late winter hike to the Alpspitze is particularly impressive when the snow is no longer quite so high and the sun comes out more frequently. You need to be in good shape for the medium-difficulty route of 11.6 km, as there are almost 750 metres of ascent and descent. On the way, you can warm up and strengthen yourself in the Kappeler Alp.
Tip: You can take the Alpspitzbahn for part or all of the ascent, so the tour is not too difficult even for older children.
