Viewpoint in Südeifel

The Beilsturm is an outwork of the old town fortifications of Neuerburg from the 16th century. From the top, newly designed observation platform, there is a beautiful view over the medieval Neuerburg.

On the ridge called "Castellberg" above Wallendorf, near the confluence of the Our River into the Sauer, the Celtic Treveri built a city-like fortified settlement in the 2nd century BC. Today, almost nothing is visible above ground.

The barrier-free platform in front of the Liborius Chapel offers a magnificent view of the Luxembourg town of Echternach.

In countless twists and turns, the Our winds through the slate slopes of Islek. From the observation point at Waldhof Falkenstein, there is a fantastic view of the notable bend of the Our Valley with the Falkenstein Castle.

From here, there is a picturesque view over the rooftops of the town of Neuerburg, the castle complex, and the landscape of the romantic Enztal.

The Lingeslay is a striking sandstone rock formation near Bollendorf, which towers directly above the Sauer valley.
