Viewpoints in Boppard

Viticulture Wine and the Middle Rhine are inseparable, and in no other place than at the gates of the city of Boppard do the vineyards of this small but fine wine-growing area of this small but fine wine-growing region spread out so majestically before the eye of the beholder as in the Bopparder Hamm. The vineyards of Bopparder Hamm dominate the sweeping bend of the Rhine and establish Boppard's reputation as the home of excellent wineries. The southern exposure has an ideal angle of inclination to the sun, uses the water surface of the river as a heat reservoir and is well protected from both the west and the east, which further favors the microclimate. The best conditions, therefore, for the cultivation of high-quality wines. With its approximately 75 hectares, the Bopparder Hamm is confusable note and the wine lover wonderful taste experiences.

Gedeonseck: After a short walk from the mountain station of the chair lift you get to Gedeonseck and the eponymous Panorama restaurant. From here you have a magnificent view of the large Rhine loop. This wonderful vantage point can be reached via the Boppard via ferrata, from Boppard by chairlift or on the RheinBurgenWegs stage Bad Salzig-Rhens or Rhens-Bad Salzig.

Vineyard swing Since the beginning of July there is a new tourist attraction in Hamm: a vineyard swing. From the new vineyard swing in the district "Bark" you have a wonderful view over the vineyards to the Rhine and Osterspai. Once again, VVV-Boppard, the local council of Boppard and the building yard have brought a great project on the way in great cooperation.
