The Friedberger via ferrata connects the Schartschrofen and the Rote Flüh (2,111 m) and is one of the classics in the Tannheimer Tal. It is varied, mostly of medium difficulty (B/C,1-), with some exposed sections, traverses, and short ladders. 4-day hut circular route in the Tannheimer Mountains
Day 1
Arrival at Grän-Enge and ascent to the Bad Kissinger Hut.
Day 2
From the Bad Kissinger Hut via the "Wandertrilogie Himmelsstürmer" to the Füssener Jöchle.
Ascent to the Schartschrofen. Entry to the Friedberger Via Ferrata, over the Yellow Notch to the ascent to the Rote Flüh.
From there descent via fixed and rope-protected steps to the Tannheimer Hut.
Day 3
Circular route from the Tannheimer Hut to the Lechaschauer Alpe and back below the Köllenspitze.
First via hiking trail 418 and past Hochjoch, Ditzl, and Tiefjoch to the Lechaschauer Alpe.
Then over Tiefjoch and hiking trails 417, 420, 419, and 415 past Schneealm and below the Köllenspitze over the Nesselwängler Notch back to the Tannheimer Hut.
Day 4
Descent via the Gimpelhaus, through the Oberwald above Haller to the inn Adlerhorst, the Wandertrilogie Himmelsstürmer, and the Via Alpina to the starting point in Grän-Enge.

Take the cable car "Füssener Jöchle" comfortably up to the mountain station Sonnenalm. Ascend past Läuferspitze to Schartschrofen. Here begins the easy Friedberger via ferrata. Continue over the "Yellow Notch" up to Rote Flüh. Return the same way.The tour can also be easily done as a half-day tour.

On this tour, you hike on foot from the valley station of the Füssener Jöchle Bahn (1206m) up to the mountain station (1821m).From there, continue without significant ascents or descents towards Schartschrofen (1968m), which the via ferrata leads to. We circle Schartschrofen to the east, climb up a scree slope, and from there enter the via ferrata. Once at the top, head back towards the Füssener Jöchle mountain station. We skip the descent and take the cable car back to Grän.
