Great Walk but there are now only 2 pubs as the Navigation is now closed as of late July 2025. The route is also blocked from Baddesley Clinton to the equestrian centre following Severn Trent work. I have noticed people have climbed the fence as its still marked as the Heart of England Way.

This was an excellent wet weather walk in winter on country lanes. We had a record turnout. Traffic was light and the views were good. We will try it again in summer. The Red Lion was flexible with its menu and had good beers. Thanks to Hampton walkers for planning the route. SatNav Ramblers wdu3a

Fab walk. Fields of wild flowers and views of castle were some of the highlights. Well done Derek on another fine walk

Lovely walk, thank you. A good mixture of paths across fields, quiet lanes, small amount of woodland and a chunk of canal at the end. Would have given 5 stars but for the motorway noise towards the end. Sorry, pet hate of mine...

A beautiful walk today with lovely stops along the way too! Some of the public footpaths are very overgrown, after a battle with some stinging nettles (wear appropriate clothing!) it was bliss! Lots of sheep roaming free and horses too, dogs to be kept on lead. There is a really friendly sheep who literally just wants fuss, so don’t waste time being scared like we were initially. The canal walk and lovely houses/farms was all a real treat!

Another great route, Derek. Some of the paths were very wet in April 24, but hey, that was the case for many after the very soggy winter. What climate change...

Nice easy family walk, we did this with 6 children aged 7 to 14 without any issues. A few fields with sheep so needed to keep dog on lead at times. The pub was closed so worth checking in advance if you want to finish on a pint. Overall lovely one for families

Great walk for families, we took our three children aged 8,9 & 14 and it took us 3hours at their pace and gave our lab a great run. We ended at Skogan who serve beer & pizza and have board games for the children (we had aimed for the Forrest but no tables). Unfortunately the bakery was closed but one to do again when open. On that if you want the bakery you need to come off the canal at the wharf tavern or you’ll miss it!
