    Sehr schöne Tour, sind vom Saastal herkommend in Ackersand eingestiegen. Nach dem schönen Aufstieg nach Zeneggen gehts bereits in den Trail, schön zu fahren, danach der Höhenlinie entlang Richtung Törbel. Nach Törbel wieder der Höhenlinie entlang "zurück", es folgt eine ca. 10-15' Schiebepassage, danach fahrbar und bald ein schöner flowiger Trail der Suone entlang, top! Ab Tschorr gehts nur noch abwärts, erst im Lunggi Trail, ab Eischoll im Lufu Trail, welcher ein roter Enduro ist und doch recht anspruchsvoll. Ab Raron sind wir auf Velowegen retour nach Ackersand, insgesamt ca. 54km und 1800 Hm. Die Tour bietet insgesamt viel Trailanteil, werden wir gerne wieder fahren.

    5* für die Landschaft. Für den Aufstieg durch's Ginals-Tal empfiehlt es sich, die Forststrasse, statt des Skipistenweges zu nehmen. Ab Grosse See bis auf's Augstbordhorn und wieder runter in den Sattel zum Violenhorn ist gut 1:30 Tragen über steile Wege und Blockgelände angesagt. Das wilde Ambiente entschädigt aber vollends dafür. Meines Erachtens startet/beendet man die Tour am besten in Bürchen.

    Da wir spät in der Saison waren, fuhr das Postauto nicht mehr zur Moosalp, aus diesem Grund mussten wir in Bürchen starten. Auf den Wegen lag teilweise Schnee, daher brauchten wir mehr Zeit als geplant. Der Höhenweg ist gut fahrbar, trotzdem volle Konzentration denn Fehler sind nicht erlaubt. Die Abfahrt nach St. Niklaus war anspruchsvoll. In St. Niklaus entschieden wir auf dem offiziellen Schweizmobilweg #150 direkt nach Stalden gefahren.

    Der ursprünglich hier publizierte Track folgte unterhalb Eischoll einem einsamen Wanderweg. Dieser Weg wird nicht mehr unterhalten (siehe Sicherheitshinweis). Der Track wurde deshalb auf die Abfahrt nach Visp gelegt. Was mir persönlich ganz gut gefällt. Eine Alternative wäre wohl der offizielle Downhill entlang der Seilbahn Raron - Eischoll, mit Start bei der Bergstation im Dorf Eischoll.

    Mir gefällt dieser Trail ausgezeichnet. Von Zermatt bis Täsch flowiger Downhill. Dann von Täsch bis St. Niklausen auf breiteren Pfaden gibt Raum die Aussichten zu geniessen. Und ab St. Niklausen wieder viele gut fahrbare Singletrails, flowig. Die hier angegebene Fahrzeit scheint mir mit 3.5 h etwas gar hoch. Ich hatte 2'10" . Im Tal nach Stalden weist ein Wegweiser bergwärts. Das ist falsch. Man kann ohne weiteres dem Fahrsträsschen dem Fluss nach folgen. Ich hänge hier einen Printscreen an. Da steht der Mauszeiger an der entsprechenden Stelle.

    Idyllische Wanderung durch das Mattertal, insbesondere der Abschnitt durch den Rinderwald vor Kalpetran bietet auch im Sommer die nötige Abkühlung. Nach Kalpetran sind auf dem historischen Säumerpfad alte Walliser Trockensteinmauern zu bestaunen. Der Weg verläuft entlang der Bikeroute Zermatt - Visp - es waren jedoch keine Biker anzutreffen.

    Tolle Tour. Als Variante kann die Tour auch via Emdbach (kleine Schiebepassage) nach Jungen fortgesetzt werden. Tolle Abfahrt bis nach Jungen und anschliessend runter nach St. Niklaus.
