Bölcheflue

The Bölcheflue offers a unique panoramic view. It is also a place shrouded in legend. It is said that the Belchen triangle - with the Black Forest Belchen in Germany, the Vosges Belchen in Alsace and the one in the Basel region - was used for time measurement and orientation in Celtic times. The stars, especially the sun and moon, are the hands, the landscape is the dial of the topographical-astronomical clock. The viewpoint on the summit of the Swiss Belchen lies on the border between Baselland and Solothurn.
