It's extremely challenging going down into Deia. The path is steep and rocky, so you have to tread carefully and can be slow going. The views from the top are incredible, so worth the climb. If you have any issue with vertigo, then you will find the walk across the top of the cliff edge a challenge. Just look down at the path or off to the right! Just a note on the authorisation issue. We talked to the ranger at the gate, which is the entry to the private land. We convinced him we would not take any risks and had GPS, so he let us through without having to book online. Our route was 7.5 mile from our Finca in Valdemossa to the centre of Deia.
