    Excellent and scenic route, not strenuous, even for older hikers. The path is wide enough at several sections which locals use to drive to the farms. Well covered with foliage at this time of the year (November). Two exceptions to be noted: 1) On the Aracena to Corteconcepción leg (closer to Corteconcepción) the path is blocked by a gate saying “private property”. At this point you have to turn to a steep rocky path on the left of the gate. This path runs parallel the stone (and wire fenced) wall of the private property. 2) On the Corteconcepción to Aracena leg, the signs led us to a turnoff labelled (dashed lines) Camino del Rebollar on the Outdooractive map. This path landed us at the starting point of the route, unlike the one shown in this route.

    WARNING: much of this route does not exist!! It is no longer maintained. Adventurous people can still follow the path, but this required going through a barbed-wire fence, then scrambling down a steep slope on an unmarked path. Note that the most beautiful part of this route is easily accessible directly from the village: just follow this route in the opposite (counterclockwise) direction all the way to the waterfall, then retrace your steps back to the village.
