Wonderful, but hard to navigate. There are two different routes recorded on the App, with the same route name, and published by the same people. Both are very nice routes, but this, shorter one, is hard to navigate when you reach the section after Lo del Gato. If you don't have GPS, OR don't know how to use it well, I suggest you will not be able to follow this shorter route. The longer route, with the same name, is a more established route, so much easier to follow, though does have the additional 150m height gain, slightly more distance, and the extra half hour walking time. This route would be 5* if the navigation was easier, so don't be put off, if you are a competent navigator.

A beautiful hike in a beautiful gorge. It reaches a herniated where you can climb the rocks to see the old hermits' caves. It is usually possible to fill up with water at a tap not far from the chapel (on the left of the main road, just above the water well).

Enjoyed this walk in the clouds this morning. Please don’t be put off by the steep steps in the first couple of kilometres as the path does improve and ther should be some magnificent views but I may need to return for these! Much clearer this June, updated 11/06/26

Great workout. Good views. Relentless uphill. Take lots of liquid - I drank over 2.5 litres. 4/5 as whilst it starts from HPB La Gomera you have to time the return trip with the bus timetable.
