    Long Distance Hiking
    La Gomera GR-132 overall

A nice walk, especially the ay up. NOTE: the highlight of this walk are the first 3km or so, from Hermigua to the top. After that, there is a roughly 4k of flat walk on the ridge (but surrounded by trees, so no views) followed by a long and quite nice descent. It could be a good idea to hike up to the ridge, but return on a different route.

An excellent walk with wonderful views. The walk is actually easier than it seems; although it gains circa 550 meters, the paths are well graded. We did it in about 3 hours comfortably. NOTE: when visiting the visitor centre, make sure you visit the "Memory room" (free). It has fascinating details of life before the Spaniards, as well as some fantastic videos of the local whistling language and the local pole jumping technique.

The rock fall on the track back has resulted in it being taped off. However, it is easily passable by basic scrambling over the fallen boulders. The area in question is not a sheer drop, so even an inexperienced hiker could find it simple to negotiate. Don't be put off by the height and vertigo warnings. Please go around the way it is arrowed on here. Enjoy

Beautiful views from the highest point on La Gomera followed by nice hike through lush forest. Steep in parts, perfectly fine and safe if you are fit though.

The hike is really nice, there's only one super tricky part with the last descend. The path there is very dangerous, almost vertical at moments, but right now it's even worse, because the rains have destroyed part of it. Please consider going down from another place if you're not an experienced hiker, or if you're a big group.
