Berchtesgaden
The Berchtesgaden National Park is the second oldest (1 August 1978) and only Alpine National Park in Germany. The area covers around 210 km² with an altitude amplitude of 2,110 m (Königssee 603 m above sea level, Watzmann 2,713 m above sea level). The large number of different habitats leads to a high diversity of species, which must be discovered in a nature-friendly way. The primary goal is the protection of nature, true to the guiding principle "Let nature be nature".

Die freigegebenen Wege sind im Gelände markiert und an den weißen Schildern mit grüner Schrift/Symbolik zu erkennen. Gibt es keine solche Beschilderung, ist das Radfahren verboten – auch wenn kein explizites Verbotsschild vorhanden ist!
