The hike to Muttenchopf was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in Switzerland. Starting with the long tunnel walk towards the Limmerensee dam, the atmosphere was already unique and a little mysterious. Stepping out of the darkness and suddenly seeing the turquoise water of the lake surrounded by steep rock walls was absolutely breathtaking. From there, the trail gets steeper and more challenging, especially at the chain section. It’s short but adds just enough adventure to make the climb exciting. Reaching the summit of Muttenchopf was unforgettable — the panoramic views over the turquoise lake and the surrounding mountains felt like standing in the middle of a postcard. I can truly recommend this hike to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, scenic beauty, and one of the most photogenic spots in Switzerland. Abwechslungsreiche Wanderung mit anspruchsvollen Teilstücken zu Beginn der Strecke. Man wird belohnt mit tollen Panoramablicken. Die Wanderung durch den Stollen ist beeindruckend. Für den Beginn der Tour sollte man schwindelfrei sein. Für das Teilstück im Stollen sollten Mütze und eine Jacke eingepackt werden.
