wild Japanese pear

It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes from Shinjuku. The charm of Yamanashi is that you can immerse yourself in Japan's representative mountains and abundant nature in a short time from the city center. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, Yamanashi is one of the most mountainous prefectures in Japan, with the Southern Alps, Okuchichibu, and Yatsugatake in addition to Japan's highest mountain, Mt. While some mountains require sufficient planning and equipment, there are also many mountains that can be climbed easily like hiking.

Yamanashi is also a fruit kingdom, where cherry, grape, and peach picking can be enjoyed, and skiing, snowshoeing, and wakasagi fishing are popular in winter. Yamanashi Prefecture has become a mecca for camping thanks to the "YuruCan△" anime series. A tour of the sacred sites of the anime is also recommended.
