Fukushima is largely divided into three areas: Aizu, Nakadori, and Hamadori.
In the Aizu region, visitors can experience a wide variety of activities in the area, including the inn town of Ouchi-juku, famous historic sites, and the scenic Inawashiro Lake and Bandai Mountain. In Nakadori, between the Ou Mountains and the Abukuma Mountains, there are many places famous for their flowers, such as Hanamiyama, called the "Peach Garden of Fukushima," and Miharu Takizakura, one of the three largest cherry trees in Japan. It is also the home of hot springs such as Takayu Onsen, a famous hidden hot spring. Facing the Pacific Ocean, Hamadori offers not only magnificent scenery but also tourist attractions such as the Shioyazaki Lighthouse, which was restored after the earthquake, and Aquamarine Fukushima, an environmental aquarium.
