    From the start all the way to Castle monte, the hiking was excellent. With nice trails and beautiful viewpoints. From there you are descending on a paved road, all the way to the valley floor. A bit boring with limited views. I did enjoy the last 4 km, where you hike in a beautiful landscape with vineyards.

    Wir sind bis zur Winery Grillo kurz vor dem Fluss gegangen. Tolle Unterkunft und in der Nachbarschaft kann man guten Wein kosten und bekommt auch gutes Essen. am Abend über den Fluss ins Fischrestaurant. Der nächste Tag wird lang, dafür heute Dolche Vita.

    Very long but also very beautiful hike. The ascent to Kolovrat is tiring, and very long. First part on the road in the sun, then on narrow paths through the woods. Paths are sometimes quite steep, but all the efforts are well worth the view once you make it up to the the open-air museum. Just about 10 minutes after crossing the Italian border, you find the Refugio Solarie, which offer excellent pasta and possibilities to fill up your water bottle with fresh water. From here it is another 3,5-4 hours to Tribil Superiore. If your feet and legs are already tired, there is a path that avoids going up to Mount Hum (Monte Cum), it is a more or less even path through the woods until Tribil. You don’t really miss anything if you take the easier path. We would if we had to do it again. Overall it was a perfect hiking day with stunning views. Due to the length and the steep ascents I would also say it is rather a difficult one.

    Nice walk out of Cividale on a dirt road along the river. Then from Purgessimo can get off the AAT route on the road onto walking trails to Castelmonte. From there lovely walking trail to the end. No bitumen at all. Lovely

    Bei dieser Etappe empfiehlt sich, den Vormittag noch in Cividale zu verbringen, um die besonderen Reize der Stadt noch zu genießen. Als Kurzetappe ist der Weg locker an einem halben Tag schaffbar.

    Beautiful etappe up to Castlemonte. Then the last 10 kms on 4x4 track was not very eventful and hence felt incredible long to me although easy, gently down. My feet were so sore. But was rewarded with yummy ice cream in a shop on the left just as you enter Cividale. AlCastero Wellness great place for a massage.
