Relaxed section in the quiet south of Usedom. The path mostly follows an old railway track. In Zirchow there is a church dedicated to Saint James.

Maps and trails
Geographically, Zirchow is located on the island of Usedom, directly on the Szczecin Lagoon. The region impresses with its diversity: while kilometres of sandy beaches stretch to the north, you will find dense forests and rolling hills to the south of the village. The mild climate and the proximity to Poland also make Zirchow an attractive destination.

The numerous historical buildings such as Mellenthin Castle and the Pudagla Manor House are particularly relevant for tourism. But nature lovers also get their money's worth here: the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park attracts visitors with rare animal and plant species as well as a unique landscape of dunes, salt marshes and moors.

Cultural highlights are also plentiful in Zirchow: the annual music festival "Usedom Summer Concerts" attracts thousands of visitors every year - not only because of the top-class concerts but also because of the picturesque setting around the Gothensee.

Culinary delights await you in the many restaurants and cafés along the coast. Fresh fish and regional specialities such as potato dumplings with smoked fish are served here.

For outdoor activities, Zirchow offers the best conditions: Whether cycling, hiking or water sports - there is something for everyone here. The hiking trails around Lake Achterwasser and along the coast are particularly beautiful. Water sports enthusiasts can let off steam on the Stettiner Haff and also learn to surf and kite surf.

Even if it should rain, there are plenty of opportunities for leisure activities in Zirchow: the amber museum in Ribnitz-Damgarten shows the history of amber from its formation to its processing. The butterfly house in Bansin is also a worthwhile destination in bad weather.

Where is it most beautiful? Clearly on a warm summer evening on the beach, when you can watch the sun set over the sea. But Zirchow also has its charm in autumn: when the leaves change colour and wafts of mist drift across the landscape, every walk becomes an experience!

All in all, Zirchow is definitely worth a trip - whether you are looking for peace and relaxation or want to be active! We hope that this travel guide was able to give you helpful tips for your stay and wish you an unforgettable holiday!
