    Nachdem diese Wanderung in meiner Liste der Touren mit öffentlicher 'Anreise im Allgäu (Sommertouren mit Bahn und Bus im Allgäu) ist, muss ich schon ergänzen, dass sie sehr gut mit der Bahn erreichbar ist mit den Bahnhöfen Memmingen, Ottobeuren (Bus 955 vom Bhf. Memmingen) und Bad Grönenbach. Dabei aber Achtung: der Bahnhof Bad Grönenbach ist mehr als 3 km vom Etappenort entfernt, die Route führt aber beim Bahnhof vorbei. Der Busfahrplan ist unter dem Verkehrverbund Mittelschwaben zu finden (https://www.vvm-online.de/). Die Tagesetappe ist gut beschildert. Warum sie als schwer qualifiziert ist, ist mir unklar. Aktuell steht in der Beschreibung, dass sie im Bereich des geologischen Höhepunktes der Etappe, den geologischen Orgeln gesperrt ist. Wegen umgestürtzer Bäume ist bei Lachen - Memmingerberg der Steig wegen umgestützter, riesiger Bäume unpassierbar, lässt sich aber umgehen, wenn man der Straße nach Süden folgt bis zum Sender und dann die Forststraße über den Hochbehälter abwärts nimmt. Entlang der Forststraße, die zu Weihnachten 2025 offen war, liegen noch sehr viele geschnitte Stämme. Sollten die abtransportiert werden, kann man die Straße bis zum Hof weitergehen, wo der Direktabstieg zu den geologischen Orgeln beginnt. Die geologischen Orgeln sind nicht gesperrt.

    Sehr schöne Wanderung und sehr abwechslungsreich! Es ist zwar ein relativ großer Straßenanteil, aber um diese Jahreszeit bzw. bei dieser eher herbstlichen Witterung machte es mir nichts aus, zumal es kaum befahrene Straßen sind. Das Café am Schachenweiher hatte aufgrund der Witterung geschlossen. Eine Einkehr kann mir aber als schönen Abschluss gut vorstellen. Die Geologischen Orgeln sind wirklich sehenswert, man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein und etwas schwindelfrei. Die Treppen um die Orgeln herum sind schon sehr schräg und ausgewaschen.

    Abwechslungsreiche Runde mit gesamt 720 Höhenmeter, dafür in mehrere Abschnitte mit ca 120-200 hm aufgeteilt. Also machbar und ein gutees Konditionstraining. Teils geteerte Nebenstraßen, Waldforstwege und oft steilere und grob geschotterte Feldwege. Leider keine Singletrails, eher schöne Radtour mit Trainingseffekt. Schöne Landschaft. Am Schluss nicht gleich rechts zum Ausgangspunkt zurückfahren, sondern links zur Ehwiesmühle abbiegen und was trinken. Ein schöner Abschluss und zurück geht es nur noch eben oder leicht abschüssig.
