Westhausen is known for its historical sights such as Eishausen Castle or St. George's Church. Also visit the market square with its colourful half-timbered houses or take a walk through the picturesque spa park.

Outdoor activities can vary depending on the season: In spring, the nearby Rennsteig is a great place for hiking, while in summer you can swim at the nearby lake. Cycling or canoeing are also popular leisure activities in this region. In winter, on the other hand, skiing is a good option on one of the surrounding mountains.

In Westhausen, Hildburghausen is beautiful everywhere - but the hiking trails around the Rennsteig as well as the view from the tower of Eishausen Castle are especially recommended. A visit to this town is definitely worth the trip!
