Health resort in the foothills of the Alps

The market town of Weitnau is located in the gently undulating foothills of the Oberallgäu Alps. The Weitnau valley is bordered to the north by the Sonneck mountain range and to the south by the elongated ridge of the Hauchenberg.

In addition to Weitnau, the administrative community also includes the villages of Kleinweiler-Hofen, Hellengerst-Rechtis, Seltmans, Sibratshofen and Wengen. Holidaymakers like to travel to the small vacation region to relax in the recognized climatic health resort. Traditional events and the variety of excursion destinations make the stay an experience.

Discover Weitnau actively

Weitnau and the surrounding area invite everyone who wants to be active. You don't have to be a professional athlete to go hiking or cycling in the fresh air here. Wonderful, panoramic tours through the hilly landscape are possible at any time of year - even without a record altitude.

Tips for the whole family

Younger guests are in for a real treat in Weitnau. On the Carl-Hirnbein adventure trail, for example, young hikers can learn all about the Alpine King as well as the flora, fauna and culture of the region. With the information stations and play areas, the 7 km between Weitnau and Missen certainly won't be too long.

The Alt-Trauchburg is an adventure site for young and old explorers. Every year in August, the big castle festival takes place here with castle tours, fortune tellers, historical music and jugglers.

The outdoor pool in Seltmans invites you to take a dip in the cool water after all the adventures.

Wirklich sehr schöne Tour allerdings in einigen Abschnitten eher S2.
