Discover the region

Geographically, Weinbach is a small village in western Germany with an area of only 16 square kilometres. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills and green forests that are perfect for hiking or cycling. The autumn months from September to November and spring between March and May are particularly beautiful here.

One of the most famous attractions in Weinbach is undoubtedly Weilnau Castle, which dates back to the 17th century. Here you can not only admire the impressive architecture, but also take part in various cultural events such as concerts or theatre performances.

For all the gourmets among you, there are numerous culinary highlights to discover: for example, try the famous apple wine from the region or taste your way through various local specialities such as Handkäs' mit Musik (cow's milk cheese) or Frankfurter Grüne Soße.

If it rains, you still don't have to go exploring: Instead, visit one of the many museums in Limburg-Weilburg such as the Nassau State Museum or the German Ivory Museum. A trip to nearby Frankfurt am Main is also worthwhile in case of bad weather.

Finally, there are numerous outdoor activities to discover in Weinbach and the surrounding area: Hike on the Taunussteig or the Lahnwanderweg, take a canoe trip on the Lahn or visit the Lochmühle amusement park with its many attractions for children. A trip to Braunfels Castle, which towers high above the town and offers a breathtaking view of the landscape, is also particularly beautiful.

Overall, Weinbach, Limburg-Weilburg is definitely worth a visit - whether for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Use this travel guide as inspiration for your next trip!
