    Der Wolfssteig ist eine tolle Tour, bei der die Natur mit all ihren wunderbaren Facetten bewundert werden kann. Der Schwarzwald zeigt sich hier von seiner schönsten Seite und den Wanderer erwarten zahlreiche Highlights. Wir starteten unsere Tour in Höchenschwand und wanderten den Steig „hinab“, worüber wir im Endeffekt sehr froh waren, denn an diesem Tag war es trotz der frühen Jahreszeit sehr warm und sonnig. Außerdem ist die Route trotzdem sehr anspruchsvoll und als Tageswanderung absolut ausreichend, um abends erschöpft, aber mit vielen tollen Eindrücken ins Bett zu fallen. Vom Portal in Höchenschwand an verläuft der Weg fast ausschließlich auf verwunschenen Waldpfaden und nicht selten fällt links vom Wanderer der Hang steil ab. Hier bieten sich tolle Ausblicke, zum Beispiel auf die Schwarzhalde. Aber Achtung – nichts für schwache Nerven! ;-) Aufgrund von Sturmschände, Erdrutschen und Felsstürzen mussten wir viel klettern und über umgefallene Bäume steigen, was einerseits anstrengend und zeitintensiv aber andererseits auch sehr spannend und abenteuerlich war. Auf der Route erlebt man immer wieder kleine Highlights, wie kleine Brücken, Hütten, Brunnen und tollen Raststätten. Bei Außer Ay lassen sich die großen Straußen bewundern und wenn man dem Weg dort weiter folgt bietet sich, auf den Höhen bei Eschbach, bei entsprechendem Wetter ein grandioser Alpenblick und ein toller Ausblick ins Rheintal. Hier wandert man größtenteils auf Forstwegen, bevor man kurz vor dem Wildgehege wieder in den Wald eintaucht und auf Pfaden weitergeht, bis man das Endportal durchschreitet. Alles in allem eine tolle Tour, die ich jederzeit weiterempfehlen würde. Wenn Umleitungen vorhanden sind, sollten diese allerdings unbedingt eingehalten werden.

    Tolle Naturtour! Man fährt fast nur in unberührter Natur mit viel Wald, kaum Häuser oder Menschen. Sehr beruhigende Atmosphäre und wirklich viel Natur. Anfangs geht es einige km immer bergab und der folgende Anstieg ist dann schon anstrengend, aber mit dem Ebike gut machbar.
