Venningen

Geographically, Venningen lies between the Palatinate Forest in the west and the Rhine plains in the east. The idyllic landscape is characterised by rolling hills, picturesque vineyards and historic buildings from past centuries.

Of particular relevance to tourism are the many wineries in the area, which are happy to invite their guests to tastings. A particularly popular sight is Villa Ludwigshöhe Castle with its impressive panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.

Cultural highlights are offered by regularly held concerts and theatre performances as well as the annual wine festival in September. Here you can not only taste excellent local wines, but also enjoy typical specialities such as Saumagen or Leberknödel.

Outdoor activities are not neglected in Venningen either: in spring and summer, hiking and cycling trails invite you to explore the region on your own. In autumn, the grape harvest beckons - here you even have the opportunity to take part in a grape harvest yourself!
