Geographically, Triefenstein is located on the southern edge of the Spessart and is surrounded by picturesque hills that offer the perfect panorama. The region is known for its breathtaking nature and unspoiled landscapes. Here you can look forward to numerous outdoor activities - hiking, cycling or canoeing along the Main River are just some of the possibilities.

Culturally, Triefenstein also has a lot to offer: Visit Löwenstein Castle or the Homburg ruins and immerse yourself in times gone by. Or visit the Bronnbach Monastery with its impressive architecture from the 12th century.

For culinary connoisseurs, there are many local specialities to try here - from the famous Franconian bratwursts to the delicious apple wine from the region.

If it rains, we recommend a visit to the "Altes Rathaus" museum or a wine tasting in one of the local wineries. A relaxing swim in the indoor swimming pool "Mainfranken Therme" can also be very pleasant on such days.

    Tiptop. Unten an der Mainkehre kann man entweder den beschilderten Weg hinauf in den Wald nehmen (da gibt's ne echt Klasse Sitzbank), oder man geht unten am Main entlang auf Trampelpfaden.

    Ein sehr schöner und abwechlungsreicher Wanderweg, den wir bestimmt noch einmal gehen werden. Man läuft jedoch über einen Höhenrücken bergab ins Himmelreich - dabei dachte ich immer das Himmelreich wäre oben ;-).

    Schöne Tour. Wir sind die Tour allerdings in der anderen Richtung gefahren und in Wertheim gestartet. Zwischen Röttbach und Kreuzwertheim ist der Wanderweg mit Tourenrädern nur schwer befahrbar auch weil es in dieser Richtung ab und zu steil aufwärts geht. Auf jeden Fall sollte der Boden trocken sein. Ansonsten Danke für die tolle Tour. Markus.

    Bin die Tour am 11.04.2016 gelaufen. Bin allerdings nicht das Stück auf der Straße den Dillberg hochgelaufen, sondern einen kleinen Umweg über die andere Seite des Kreisels in Erlenbach. Auch beim Kloster Triefenstein bin ich nicht auf der Straße gelaufen, sondern den "Kulturweg" Über den Triefenstein. Sehr schöne Tour, die allerdings bei sehr warmen Wetter recht schweißtreibend sein dürfte. Ansonsten bei einer Grundfitness ohne Probleme. Einzig der Anstieg zum Kreuzberg in Marktheidenfeld ist etwas steiler.
