Trassem has a rich history dating back to the 10th century. The picturesque half-timbered houses and narrow streets tell stories of times gone by. One of the most famous sights in the village is Thorn Castle.

Cultural highlights abound here - visit the local history museum, for example, or enjoy concerts in the castle park during the summer.

For gourmets, there is also plenty to discover: be sure to try the local Riesling wine as well as traditional dishes such as Saumagen or spit-roast from the grill.

    Bin gestern den westlichen Teil gefahren (von Überherrn nach Schengen) - definitiv eine Traumstrecke, gerne auch 6 Sterne: winzige Nebenstrecken, durch Täler und Wäldchen, durch malerische Dörfer, praktisch null Verkehr. Direkt oder zumindest nah an der Strecke jede Menge touristische Highlights: keltische Kultstätten, Burgen, römische Villen, Festungen… hier kann man gerne auch mehrmals fahren. Unbedingte Empfehlung!

    Wenig bekannte Wanderung, allerdings bietet sie sehr viel. Abwechslungsreich, Top-Aussichten und dabei nicht zu schwer zu wandern. Die Steigungen sind eher langgezogen und daher nicht zu intensiv. Am besten mit der heruntergeladenen GPS-Strecke zu wandern, es ist halt keine Kennzeichnung vorhanden wie bei einer Traumschleife. Meistens geht es eher über Feld- oder Waldwege, auch etliche Abschnitte sind geteerte Fahrradwege, aber gut, es gibt schlimmeres. Der Waldanteil bietet sehr viel Abwechslung in Form von Unterständen gespickt mit allerlei Informatives, viele Infotafeln und sonstiges, da steckt allemal Arbeit dahinter. Auf jeden Fall eine flotte Alternative zu der Traumschleife, die ja in eine andere Wanderrichtung geht. Geparkt wurde der Einfachheit halber auch auf dem Wanderparkplatz der Traumschleife.

    Gut ausgeschilderter und gepflegter Wanderweg,(das erwartet man auch von einer Traumschleife)mit einigen steilen Passagen. Der Weg ging hauptsächlich durch den Wald,dort gab es immer mal wieder Aussichtspunkte, unter anderem auf Saarburg mit der Saarburg.Rastplätze sind auch einige vorhanden. Alles in allem kann ich den Weg weiter empfehlen, mir persönlich hat so ein Highlight gefällt. Ich bin schon schönere Touren gelaufen.

    Eine schöne Idee mit der Route . Wir haben sie in der Woche gemacht Kastel Stadt kann man von innen nur Mittwoch bis Sonntag besichtigen. 3,50 € pp Saarburg ist die Innenstadt als Urlaubsort derzeit völlig überlaufen. Cloef war sehr schön. Wir sind die Standartroute zur saarschleife gegangen (ohne Kosten) Allerdings auch sehr besucht Der Baumpfad kostet 11 Euro pro Person Seit diesem Jahr befindet sich dort auch ein mega Abenteuerspielplatz (gegen Gebühr).

    Es ist eine schöne Wanderung, mit ein paar tollen Aussichten. Als eine Traumschleife würde ich sie nicht bezeichnen, dazu fehlen die Highlights. Ich habe den Zuweg von Saarburg genommen. Saarburg mit dem Leukbach-Wasserfall war für mich dann das Highlight der Strecke.

    Wir sind diesen Weg zum ersten Mal gegangen. Das war eine der schönsten Wanderungen der letzten Monate. Man hat einige Male schöne Ausblicke und kann die Natur sehr genießen. Die Beschilderung ist einwandfrei.
