Geographically, Todtmoos is located in the southern Black Forest, about 30 kilometres northwest of Freiburg. The town is known for its breathtaking mountain panoramas as well as the numerous hiking and cycling trails through the surrounding forests. Waldshut is also located at the foot of the Black Forest, right on the border with Switzerland. Here you will find a picturesque townscape with a multitude of historic buildings.

The many sights in both towns are particularly relevant for tourism: In Todtmoos, for example, you can visit the monastery or marvel at the waterfall, while in Waldshut the Hohenklingen Castle and the Haus Salmegg Museum are worth a visit.

But this region also has a lot to offer culturally: In summer, various festivals take place here on a regular basis - from music festivals to arts and crafts markets, it's all here! Those who like culinary delights will not be disappointed either: Many restaurants serve regional specialities such as Kirschwasser or Black Forest ham.

For outdoor fans, there are also plenty of activities to do: Hiking, cycling or skiing - depending on the season, there is always something suitable to do. Todtmoos is particularly beautiful in spring, when the meadows and forests are covered with flowers, or in autumn, when the leaves on the trees turn colourful. For those who like skiing, a visit in winter is recommended.

And what do you do in Todtmoos when it rains? Here, too, there are many possibilities: How about a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a museum, for example?

No matter what time of year you come to Todtmoos and Waldshut - these two places are guaranteed to enchant you! We hope our travel tips have helped you and wish you an unforgettable time in this enchanting region of Germany.
