Tellig

Tellig lies on the western edge of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the district of Cochem-Zell. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, meadows and forests as well as the Moselle River, which flows through the valley. Here you will find an abundance of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or water sports.

One of the most famous sights in Tellig is Eltz Castle - a medieval jewel with impressive architecture and history. Pyrmont Castle, dating from the 13th century, is also worth a visit. Both are only a few kilometres away from the centre of Tellig.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered here: The Museum of Viticulture and Cultural History shows everything about the famous German viticulture on the Moselle as well as historical artefacts from times gone by.

If it rains, we recommend a visit to the leisure pool "Cochemer Hallenbad", which has various swimming pools or you can also enjoy a trip on the Moselle with a boat trip whatever the weather.

The culinary delights should not go unmentioned: Be sure to try the regional Riesling wine and traditional Moselle cuisine in one of the many restaurants or wine taverns.

The best season for outdoor activities is from spring to autumn, when the weather is mild and pleasant. The hiking trails around Tellig offer breathtaking views of the landscape, and are especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves change colour.
