The tourist attractions are numerous: visit Tegernsee Castle with its imposing architecture or explore the historic old town with its picturesque alleys and traditional houses. Equally worth seeing is the baroque church of St. Quirinus, which is a beautiful example of Bavarian sacred architecture.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered: The Museum Tegernseer Tal shows exhibitions on the history of the region as well as works of art from different eras. In summer, concerts are held regularly in the spa gardens, where you can relax and enjoy music under the open sky.

For culinary delights, there are numerous restaurants and beer gardens serving regional specialities such as veal sausage or knuckle of pork. Be sure to try the famous Tegernsee Hell beer!

Outdoor activities are at the top of the agenda here: hike through the rolling hills of the foothills of the Alps or take a boat trip on the crystal-clear lake - both especially recommended in spring and summer. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can put their skills to the test in the nearby ski areas.

Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do in Tegernsee: relax in the thermal baths or visit the cinema. For those interested in history, a visit to the local history museum is a good idea.

Where is the most beautiful place in Tegernsee? That's hard to say - every place has its own charm! But the view from the Wallberg and the walk along the lake to the Gmunden Ceramics Manufactory are particularly impressive.

Tegernsee is definitely worth a trip - let yourself be enchanted by this charming place and enjoy your stay with our travel tips. Our Travel Guide will help you get to know all the highlights of this region!
