Maps and trails
Sulzemoos is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Munich and is surrounded by an idyllic landscape. Here you will find numerous lakes such as the Olchinger See or the Ampersee, as well as forests and fields that are perfect for hiking or cycling. The town itself also has a lot to offer - historic buildings such as Sulzemoos Castle or St. George's Church are definitely worth a look.

For culture vultures, Sulzemoos offers a variety of events. The annual folk festival in August attracts thousands of people every year. The Christmas market at the castle is also very popular with locals and tourists alike.

Do not miss the culinary delights! Be sure to try the famous "Schweinshaxn" (knuckle of pork) with dumplings or enjoy fresh beer from the local brewery.

If it rains, you can still do something: for example, visit the Altomünster Museum in the nearby town of Altomünster or take a guided tour of one of the castles in the area.

In summer, water sports activities such as swimming, canoeing or stand-up paddling on the lakes are very popular. In winter, you can explore the snow-covered landscape on a snowshoe hike.

If you're wondering where it is most beautiful in Sulzemoos - that depends entirely on your personal preferences! Although all seasons have their own charm, we recommend a visit in spring or summer, when nature is in full bloom and the sun's rays provide pleasant temperatures.

Sulzemoos is definitely worth a trip - with this travel guide, you will be well equipped for your next voyage of discovery through this enchanting region of Germany.
