Sindelfingen is known as "the city of automobiles" because of its long history in automobile production. A visit to the Mercedes-Benz plant or the Porsche Museum are therefore absolute must-sees for all car enthusiasts. But the city has much more to offer! Discover the historic centre with its narrow streets, half-timbered houses and the impressive Old Town Hall from the 16th century.

Cultural highlights are also plentiful: visit the Sindelfingen City Museum or enjoy a performance at the Theaterhaus - one of the most important venues for performing arts in all of Europe.

For culinary delights, we recommend a visit to the weekly market with fresh fruit, vegetables and regional specialities such as spaetzle or Maultaschen. Or try the famous Schwabenburger during a cosy dinner in a traditional inn.

The area around Sindelfingen also offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation: hike through the forests of the Black Forest or take a bike tour along the Nagold River. In summer, you can cool off at the Sindelfingen swimming centre or play golf on a nearby course.

And what can you do in Sindelfingen when it rains? Visit the Schwabenlandhalle for a concert or a trade fair or see the exhibitions at the Galerieverein. If you're craving relaxation, the bathing area at the Mineraltherme Böblingen is just the thing.

Whether you're travelling alone or with your family, Sindelfingen is definitely worth a trip. Let our travel guide inspire you and discover this charming city on your own!
