Sielenbach

Geographically, Sielenbach lies on the edge of the Lechrain and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape. The municipality has just under 2,000 inhabitants and consists of the districts of Obersielenbach and Untersielenbach as well as some smaller hamlets.

A special attraction is Sielenbach Castle, which looks back on a long history. The building was constructed in the 16th century and served, among other things, as a hunting lodge for the Bavarian kings. Today, you can not only enjoy the historical ambience here, but also take part in numerous events such as concerts or art exhibitions.

Another highlight are the many cycle paths around Sielenbach, which are perfect for outdoor activities. Whether leisurely tours along the river Lech or more challenging routes through hilly terrain - everyone will find a suitable route here.

But Sielenbach also has a lot to offer in terms of culture: For example, there are regular theatre performances or readings in the local community centre.

The regional specialities such as knuckle of pork with dumplings or fresh asparagus from nearby Schrobenhausen provide culinary delights - be sure to try them!

And if it should rain? Then a visit to nearby Aichach is a good idea, where you can visit the local history museum or the town library.

But Sielenbach is at its best in the summer months, when you can stroll through the idyllic streets and enjoy nature in pleasant temperatures. So definitely worth a visit!
