Discover the region

Schwabmünchen is known for its historic old town with its well-preserved buildings from the 16th century. Here, visitors can learn more about the town's history on a guided tour or simply stroll through the narrow streets and enjoy the flair of times gone by.

Another highlight are the numerous cultural events, such as the annual folk festival in summer or the Christmas market at Advent time. The Kulturwerkstatt museum also offers interesting insights into arts and crafts from the region.

If you want to indulge in culinary delights, you should definitely try a traditional snack - here you can discover hearty delicacies such as Obazda (cheese spread), sausage salad or pork knuckle. The cosy restaurants are also a great place to relax with a fresh beer.

For outdoor fans, Schwabmünchen also has a lot to offer: in the nearby Augsburg-Westliche Wälder nature park, you can go hiking, cycling or walking and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Anglers also get their money's worth at the Lech.

And if it rains? Then a trip to the Platsch leisure pool is worthwhile - here there are adventure pools, slides and sauna worlds for young and old.

All in all, Schwabmünchen is definitely worth a trip and an insider tip for everyone who wants to experience the Bavarian lifestyle up close. Whether as a day trip or a longer discovery tour - this travel guide shows you the best tips for your stay in the Augsburg region.

Wirklich landschftlich tolle Runde.
