The geographical location of Rottweil is particularly attractive: it is situated on the edge of the Black Forest and is crossed by the river Neckar. There are numerous hiking opportunities in the surrounding area, as well as cycling and canoeing tours on the Neckar.

One of Rottweil's best-known landmarks is the historic city gate "Das Heilig-Kreuz-Münster". It dates back to the 13th century and impresses with its Gothic architecture as well as its carillon. The old town with its half-timbered houses also invites you to stroll around.

Another highlight is the Thyssenkrupp Test Tower viewing platform, which offers a breathtaking view over the Black Forest. You can visit it or book a tour of the tower.

Culturally interested visitors should definitely visit the Dominican Museum, which presents works of art from the Middle Ages to the present day. Concerts are also held regularly in the Kulturspeicher.

For gourmets, Rottweil also has a lot to offer: Here you can enjoy regional specialities such as Maultaschen or Spätzle as well as taste wines from the region.

Outdoor activities can be arranged differently depending on the season: In summer, hikes through the Black Forest or cycling tours along the Neckar River are tempting. In winter, you can go skiing or cross-country skiing in the surrounding area.

Even in rainy weather, there are opportunities for entertainment in Rottweil: The Aquasol indoor swimming pool offers water fun for the whole family and current films can be enjoyed at the Forum 3 cinema.

In summary, Rottweil, Landkreis Rottweil is a destination that is definitely worth a trip! Whether cultural highlights, culinary delights or outdoor activities - everyone gets their money's worth here. It is particularly beautiful at the Thyssenkrupp Test Tower with its magnificent view over the Black Forest.
