Ritzerau

Geographically, Ritzerau is located in the southern part of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein and is characterised by a picturesque landscape. The region is known for its numerous lakes and rivers as well as its rolling hills and forests.

One of the tourist attractions in Ritzerau is undoubtedly Ritzerau Castle. The beautiful baroque castle was built in the 18th century and today houses a hotel as well as a restaurant with regional cuisine.

Another cultural highlight in Ritzerau are the regular concerts at the Friedrichsruhe estate. Here, visitors can enjoy classical music under the open sky or take part in workshops.

For outdoor lovers, there are many opportunities to explore the nature around Ritzerau.
