Rieseby is known for its picturesque half-timbered houses from the 18th century and its idyllic location on the Schlei. The village has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages, which can also be seen in the historic buildings.

Most relevant for tourism are the Schleimuseum with its exhibition on the natural and cultural history of the region, as well as the moated castle of Glücksburg, which is only a few kilometres away.

Cultural highlights are offered in the form of concerts on the market square or theatre performances in the local cultural centre. Art lovers also get their money's worth here: Works by regional artists are presented in various galleries.

In terms of culinary delights, Rieseby offers regional specialities such as fresh fish from the Schlei or delicious baked goods from traditional bakeries - a treat for every gourmet!

The surrounding area is perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or sailing along the river. It is especially beautiful in spring and summer, when everything is blooming and green.

Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do: The indoor playground "Spatzenhausen" provides fun and adventure for children, while adults can relax in the wellness area of the local hotel.

It is particularly beautiful in Rieseby at the harbour and along the Schlei. Here you can enjoy nature on a walk or simply unwind.

Overall, Rieseby is a destination that is definitely worth a trip due to its location, history and diverse leisure opportunities. This travel guide gives you all the important information for an unforgettable stay!

Lovely walk, thank you for posting! Divers. The Schlei was beautiful, I took a dip. Some parts were very overgrown. People were there with bikes; not suitable imo. No benches along the walk.

Tolle Tour.
