Discover the region

Pottum has a rich history and many cultural highlights to offer. Visit St. Peter's Church from the 12th century or Oranienstein Castle, which is now used as a youth hostel. For art lovers, there is also the studio of the artist Ute Bopp as well as the museum "Altes Zollhaus", which tells the story of the former border post between Prussia and Nassau.

Another highlight are the many outdoor activities you can experience here - especially popular are hikes through the Nassau Nature Park with its numerous waterfalls and viewpoints such as the Fuchskaute Tower or Greifenstein Castle. In summer, you can also enjoy canoeing on the Lahn or let off steam by cycling on one of the many routes.

For gourmets, Pottum offers culinary specialities such as the famous Westerwald spit roast or freshly baked bread from wood-fired ovens at local bakeries.

Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do in Pottum: for example, visit one of the cosy cafés in the town centre or relax in the local swimming pool with sauna wellness area.

Pottum is worth a visit at any time of year, but it is particularly beautiful in spring and summer when nature is in full bloom. Hikes through the forest or a canoe trip on the Lahn are particularly recommended.

In total, Pottum offers something for everyone as a destination - be it cultural highlights, outdoor activities or culinary experiences. Come and experience this charming town in the Westerwald district for yourself!
