Pölitz

Geographically, Pölitz lies on the edge of an extensive forest area and is surrounded by picturesque hills. The town itself is crossed by the Polizei River, which meanders gently through the town centre and connects numerous bridges.

One of Pölitz's most famous sights is Neuschwanstein Castle, a magnificent neo-Gothic style building perched high on a hill and offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. The historic market square with its traditional half-timbered houses and the impressive St. Peter's Church are definitely worth a visit as well.
