Plate

Plate is a small town in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located about 20 kilometres west of Schwerin. The region is characterised by its picturesque landscape - rolling hills, green forests and crystal clear lakes characterise the surrounding area.

One of the most famous sights in Plate is the town church of St. Johannes, a Gothic building from the 13th century with an impressive interior. Another highlight is Ludwigslust Castle, a baroque jewel with beautiful gardens and parks.
