Oersberg

Geographically, Oersberg lies between the rivers Treene and Sorge and is surrounded by picturesque forests. The landscape here is breathtakingly beautiful - ideal for hiking or cycling. Likewise, there are several lakes in the area that are perfect for swimming or fishing.

One of the most popular attractions in Oersberg is the Oestergaard Estate - a historic 18th century manor house with impressive gardens and parks. The Museum Kunstwerk Carlshütte shows changing exhibitions of contemporary art on more than 14,000 square metres and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Culturally, Oersberg also has a lot to offer: From traditional festivals such as the Treenefest to modern events such as the metal festival Wacken Open Air, there is always something to experience.

If you are looking for culinary experiences, be sure to try local specialities such as Labskaus (a dish of cured meat) or Rote Grütze (a type of berry pudding). Many restaurants also offer fresh fish that comes directly from the waters around Oersberg.
