Situated at the foot of the Swabian Forest, Oberstenfeld is a picturesque town with a rich history. The town is located about 30 kilometres north of Stuttgart and is known for its well-preserved historic buildings from the 18th century. Whether you are looking for nature or culture - there is plenty to discover here!

The most important sights include Lichtenberg Castle, an impressive castle complex from the Middle Ages, and the collegiate church of St. Nikolaus with its magnificent Baroque façade. The local history museum "Alte Mühle" is also worth a visit: here you can learn more about local history.

For art lovers, a trip to nearby Marbach am Neckar, home to the German Literature Archive, is recommended. The archive has an extensive collection of literary works by German authors such as Goethe or Schiller.

Culinary Oberstenfeld also has a lot to offer: Be sure to try regional specialities such as Spätzle mit Soß' or Maultaschen in one of the cosy local restaurants. For wine lovers, a tour through the surrounding vineyards is recommended, where you can taste delicious wines directly from the vintner.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are numerous possibilities in Oberstenfeld: Hiking or cycling in the Swabian Forest, canoeing on the Bottwar River or golfing on one of the nearby courses - there is something for everyone! The autumn months are particularly beautiful with their colourful deciduous forests and mild climate.

Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, there is plenty to do: For example, visit the "Soleo" leisure pool, which offers various saunas and pools. Or take a trip to neighbouring Heilbronn and visit the technology museum or the botanical garden.

Overall, Oberstenfeld is definitely worth a trip - whether as a day trip from Stuttgart or as a destination for a longer stay. The charming town has a lot to offer and will certainly remain in your memory for a long time!
