One of the most famous sights of Oberndorf am Neckar is the birthplace of the famous composer Franz Xaver Gruber. This is where the world-famous Christmas carol "Silent Night" was composed in 1818. The house can be visited and gives an insight into the composer's life.

For cultural highlights, we recommend a visit to the local history and school museum and the church of St. Peter and Paul with its impressive baroque altar from the 18th century.

Oberndorf am Neckar also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the Swabian cuisine with its hearty dishes such as Maultaschen or Spätzle.

If you like to be active, you can enjoy numerous outdoor activities here - for example hiking on one of the many well-marked hiking trails through the picturesque landscape or cycling along the beautiful Neckar River. In summer, several lakes invite you to swim.

And what to do when it rains? Then we recommend a visit to the indoor swimming pool Aquari-Holzmaden or a trip to nearby Stuttgart to explore the museums and galleries.

Where is it most beautiful in Oberndorf am Neckar, district of Rottweil? We recommend a walk along the Neckar or a hike on the surrounding hills - from here you have a breathtaking view of the landscape.

Overall, Oberndorf am Neckar is a destination that is definitely worth a trip. Discover this charming town with our travel guide and experience unforgettable moments!

Ausschilderung i. O..
