    Wir sind ab Bahnhof Alzey gestartet und bis Ingelheim geradelt. Die Strecke ist sehr abwechslungsreich und führt durch wunderschöne Natur. Gerade jetzt im Frühling ein Genuss. Die Route ist durchgehend beschildert, die Wegbeschaffenheit ist in manchen Abschnitten nur mittelmäßig, meist jedoch sehr gut/gut.

    Ich (Trekking-Rad) bin diese Tour mit meiner Frau (E-Bike) und meinem Sohn (10, 24" Rad) komplett gefahren und wir haben dann am Rhein in Ingelheim übernachtet. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht, wobei meine Frau dann meinen Sohn bei Steigungen unterstützt hat. Zurück sind wir dann mittels Komoot von Ingelheim nach Orbis in gerader Linie, wobei Komoot dann auch entlang von Radwegen plant. Fazit: Tolle Tour, auf der man Rheinhessen kennen lernen kann. Klasse!

    Ich habe die Tour an Silvester 2022 gemacht. Die Streckenführung ist einfach toll. Zunächst über den Zornheimer Berg mit vielen Ausblicken über Rheinhessen und bis zur Frankfurter Skyline. Dann durch Sörgenloch - viele schöne Häuser und Höfe im alten Dorfkern und dann entlang der Selz und den Biotopen zurück. Der Weg har mir besser gefallen als die Hiwweltour Zornheimer Berg. Ich muss die Tour im Frühling oder Sommer noch mal mit meinen Enkeln laufen. Dann kann man noch die Via Natura integrieren

    Habe die Tour am Ostersonntag (12.04.2020) gemacht und hatte dank des Tracks kaum Probleme gehabt, den Weg zu finden. Schöne Tour, die auch durch sehr unterschiedliche Landstriche in Mainz und der Umgebung führt! Durch die Abfahrten und Anstiege auch sehr abwechslungsreich.

    Wirklich sehr schöne Tour über die Weinberge mit toller Aussicht und entlang des Rieds. Auch und gerade an einem frostigen Wintertag zu empfehlen, um viel Sonne zu tanken. Wenn der Boden dann zu tauen beginnt, wird's stellenweise recht matschig. Tipp: Kurz vor Sörgenloch (km 7,6) steht rechterhand im Weinberg eine Hütte mit einer kleinen Bank davor - direkt in der Sonne :)

    Eine schöne, tagesfüllende Unternehmung - auch mit trainierten Kindern, da kaum eine nennenswerte Steigung. Besonders gefallen haben mir der oberste Abschnitt bis zur großen Autobahnbrücke, das Zentrum von Alzey, der Buckel zwischen Gau-Odernheim und Bechtolsheim, die Bruchlandschaft hinterm Wahlheimerhof und das Tal zwischen Elsheim und Ingelheim. Kaum Schatten, aber immer wieder "Tankstellen" ... sehr nette Eisdiele vorm Ingelheimer Bahnhof (La Gondola). Der komplette Selzradweg lässt sich prima als ÖV-Tour durchführen: dazu von Kirchheimbolanden am Bahnhof starten und der Rad-Beschilderung "Alzey" folgend über Haide nach Orbis zur Selzquelle (gut 100 Hm). Von Ingelheim-Stadtmitte weiter vor bis zum Rhein und über den Rheinradweg (bei trockenen Verhältnissen schöner über den Leinpfad) nach Bingen. Vom Bahnhof Bingen Stadt in 1 h zurück zum Ausgangspunkt (Umstieg in Alzey). Etwa 80 km insgesamt.
