Geography & special features: Negenborn is located on the edge of the Solling-Vogler Nature Park near Holzminden. The picturesque landscape is characterised by rolling hills, dense forests and clear rivers. A special highlight are the numerous 16th century half-timbered houses that characterise the townscape.

Touristically relevant sights: One of the main attractions of Negenborn is Bevern Castle with its baroque gardens and impressive collections of European art from the 17th-19th centuries.     Nur 4 Sterne von uns. Wir wollten im Kloster mit unserem Hund spazieren gehen und anschließend sollte es im Hoope-Tal weiter gehen . Leider ging das nicht, da uns die Leiter einen Strich durch unseren Plan machte. So mussten wir uns einen anderen Ausgangspunkt suchen.

    Die Etappe beginnt mit einem Weg über die Felder und führt dann schnell durch ein Wäldchen zum sehenswerten Kloster Amelungsborn. Danach kommt ein nur kurzes Wegstück an einer Straße, woran sich dann für die restliche Wegstrecke ein sehr abwechslungsreicher Waldweg anschließt. Die sich ergebenden Ausblicke sind weit und beeindruckend. Die Wegstrecke führt fast ausschließlich auf unbefestigten, sehr ruhig gelegenen Pfaden entlang. Auf der Bodohohe hat man zudem die Möglichkeit, auf einen hier nicht verzeichneten Turm zu steigen, um die Aussicht zu genießen. Am Fuss des Turms befindet sich zudem ein Rastplatz mit Hütte.

    Ich bin im September 2021 die Etappen 6 bis 13 gelaufen. Etappe 6 und 7 waren für mich die zwei schönsten. Etappe 7 besticht durch den Besuch von drei Aussichtstürmen. Von diesen hatte ich die besten Aussichten überhaupt während der Wanderung. Der Zielort Bodenwerder ist einer der schönsten der Tour und die Lage an der Weser und der Weserbrücke traumhaft. Etappe 7 verdient mehr als fünf Sterne.

    Der Weserberglandweg ist tatsächlich sehr schön. Wir sind ihn zu zweit anfang oktober 2018 von Hann.Münden bis Bodenwerder gelaufen, hatten nicht immer optimales wetter, konnten den weg aber doch sehr genießen. Vor allem im reinhardtswald fehlen schutzhütten bzw. -unterstände und sitzgelegenheiten für pausen. Ausgeschildert ist der weg optimal, es gab nur wenige stellen, wo wir uns fragten, wie es weitergeht. Allerdings sind strecken eingebaut, wo es recht steil nach oben geht, statt des direkten aufstiegs sollte man eher serpentinen einbauen. Wir sind in den 5 tagen gerade mal 10 wanderern begegnet, es ist also wenig los zu dieser zeit. Trotz aller warnungen: der weg ist inzwischen fast ganz frei geräumt, die sturmschäden sind noch zu sehen, betreffen aber nicht mehr den weg.

    Wir sind die Strecke im Sommer am Abend gelaufen. Der abwechslungsreiche Mischwald und die Aussichten über das Vorland machen diese Wanderung recht schön. Auf dem Parkplatz steht zwar eine Bordsteinschwalbe aber davon darf man sich nicht schocken lassen. Leider konnten wir nicht den ganzen Rundweg gehen, denn wegen Forstarbeiten ist derzeit (Mitte August 2018) ein Teil des Weges komplett gesperrt. Wer in diesen Tagen zur Burg will muss vom Parkplatz aus gleich den linken Weg nehmen und um einen Rundkurs zu gehen eine Mischung aus kurzer Runde und langer Runde laufen. Aber es lohnt sich

    Die Trail - Passagen auf der Route haben es, wenn man sie hochfahren muss, auf jeden Fall in sich. Ansonsten eine schöne Tour. Laut meinem Garmin Forerunner 310XT sind es auf den 28km jedoch "nur" 850 HM. Trotzdem ist es meiner ansicht nach nicht in 1.5 Stunden zu schaffen. Ich habe für die Tour knapp über 2 Stunden benötigt.
