Geographically, Müllheim lies on the edge of the Black Forest and is surrounded by rolling hills. The town itself has a long history as an important trading centre and wine-growing area. Today it is known for its picturesque alleys, historic buildings and culinary delights.

The main tourist highlights are Bürgeln Castle with its impressive views of the surrounding area and the market square with the 16th century town hall. A walk through the town park or a visit to the Schneider winery is also worthwhile.

Cultural highlights include the annual town festival in summer and various concerts and theatre performances at the Forum Merzhausen cultural centre. For art lovers, there are also regularly changing exhibitions in the Altes Rathaus gallery.

Müllheim also offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or golfing. In autumn, you can also take part in guided mushroom hikes or taste the local wines at a wine tasting.

For rainy days, we recommend a visit to the Vita Classica thermal baths in Bad Krozingen or a tour of the Müllheimer Torturmhaus museum, which provides an insight into the history of the town.

It is particularly beautiful in Müllheim in spring, when nature awakens and everything is green and in bloom. But autumn with its golden colours is also worth a visit.

Culinary Müllheim has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the regional tarte flambée or indulge in a glass of wine from the Markgräflerland.

Overall, Müllheim is definitely worth a trip for anyone who appreciates history, culture and nature in equal measure. Let yourself be enchanted!
