One of the most famous sights in this region is Sayn Castle. It was built in the 13th century and today houses a museum as well as a botanical garden with over 10,000 species of plants from all over the world.

Another highlight is Eltz Castle, a medieval fortress from the 12th century, which sits enthroned on a hill above the Moselle River. Here you can embark on a journey back in time to the Middle Ages and experience history up close.

For those interested in culture, there are also some highlights to discover: The Forum Confluentes in Koblenz offers changing exhibitions on various topics - from art to natural history.

If it's raining or you just want to take it easy, we recommend a visit to the Volcano Park in Plaidt or the Terra Vulcania Museum in Mendig - here you can learn all there is to know about volcanoes and their history of formation.

This region also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: Be sure to try the famous wine of the Moselle region or enjoy hearty specialities such as Rhenish Sauerbraten or Pfälzer Saumagen.

The best seasons for outdoor activities are spring and summer, when nature is in full bloom. It is especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves change colour and the grape harvest begins.

Overall, Mülheim-Kärlich, Mayen-Koblenz is a destination that is definitely worth a trip - with its sights, cultural highlights and culinary specialities, there is a lot to discover here! We hope that our Travel Guide tips will help you.

Sehr, sehr empfehlenswert!!!
