An absolute highlight are the historic mills along the river courses - these have shaped the image of this unique area for centuries. A special attraction is also the "Saxon Mill Museum" in Eubabrunn - here you can learn everything about the history of mill art.
Culturally interested visitors should definitely make a note of the annual "Mill Day": On this day, all mills open their doors to visitors from all over the world! The traditional folk festival "Mühlentalfest", which takes place every year at the end of July, also attracts many guests.
For gourmets, Mühlental offers a variety of culinary delights such as regional specialities like fresh bread from the stone oven or hearty grilled sausages straight from the farm.
Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do: The "Aqua Marien" leisure pool in Adorf offers swimming fun for the whole family, while the cinema in nearby Plauen invites you to linger.
And where is it most beautiful? That's hard to say - each place has its own charm. However, the places along the rivers Weiße Elster and Göltzsch are particularly idyllic, as are the historic mills with their romantic water wheels.
