Medebach is particularly well known for its historic town centre with half-timbered houses from the 16th century as well as the numerous churches and chapels. An absolute highlight are also the many hiking opportunities in the surrounding area - whether you prefer leisurely strolls or challenging mountain tours, every hiking enthusiast will find their happiness here.

Culturally, Medebach also has a lot to offer: Concerts, theatre performances and festivals are held regularly in summer. The local history museum, which gives an insight into the life of the local people, is also particularly worth a visit.

For culinary delights, traditional dishes such as kale with spelt or hearty potato soup are ideal after a long day in the fresh air. Regional beers are also a must!

For those who prefer to be active, there are mountain bike trails or skiing in winter. For families, a trip to the Fort Fun Adventure Land amusement park is worthwhile.

Even in bad weather, no one need be bored: The Aqua Mundo indoor swimming pool invites you to swim and relax, or you can visit one of the local cinemas.

Of course, the most beautiful thing about Medebach is being out in nature - whether it's a walk through the woods or a mountain tour with a breathtaking view. But the historic town centre also has its charm and invites you to take a stroll.

All in all, Medebach is definitely worth a trip for anyone who longs for relaxation in the midst of nature and culture. Our Travel Guide will give you more useful tips and advice for your stay!
