Discover the region

The old town of Markgröningen is characterised by lovingly restored half-timbered houses and narrow alleys. Here you can walk in the footsteps of the past and visit the impressive town fortifications with their towers. Another highlight is Markgröningen Castle, which is now used as a museum and provides an interesting insight into the town's history.

The annual town festival and numerous concerts and theatre performances in the Kulturhaus Franck provide cultural highlights. Markgröningen also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try traditional Swabian cuisine such as Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) or Zwiebelrostbraten (roast onion) in one of the cosy restaurants.

When it comes to outdoor activities, hiking is the best option - along the Neckarsteig trail or through the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park. But cycling or a canoe trip on the Neckar are also popular leisure activities.

Of course, it's especially nice to be out and about in good weather, but even if it rains there are a few things to do: Visit the local museum, for example, or take a trip to nearby Stuttgart for museum visits or shopping tours.

Markgröningen is definitely worth a trip and offers something for everyone. Whether you want to explore the town's history, experience cultural highlights or simply relax in nature - here you will find everything your heart desires. Let this travel guide inspire you and discover Markgröningen, Landkreis Ludwigsburg!

Top Tour, bereits meine zweite "Kaltental radelt".
