    Wunderbarer Wanderweg. Bitte seid aber speziell auf dem Ith Kamm vorsichtig, da es hier auf den schmalen Wegen einen sehr hohen Zeckenbefall gibt. Unbedingt vorher einsprühen oder entsprechende Kleidung tragen und abends absuchen ist Pflicht, da sonst Gesundheitliche Gefahr droht.

    Glücklicherweise am Wandererparkplatz Buchhagen gestartet. Mit reichlich Gegenwind stetig leicht bergauf. Der teils kräftige Wind war für unsere Tochter (7 Jahre) schon recht anstrengend. Nach einer Stärkung im Restaurant im Gutshof Wickensen ging es wieder zurück. Diesmal mit reichlich Rückenwind und stetig bergab. Für unsere Tochter genau die richtige Reihenfolge.

    Etappe 1: Von Coppenbrügge nach Wallensen, Dauer: etwa sechseinhalb Stunden in gemütlichem Tempo mit Pausen. Wir sind die erste Etappe des Ith-Hils-Weges am Ostermontag von Coppenbrügge aus gewandert. In gemächlichem Tempo ging es zunächst 2 km bergauf zu der Felsformation "Adam & Eva". Von dort konnte man sehr schön auf dem Ithkamm entlang wandern. Links der Bärlauch-bewachsene Wald, rechts steile Abhänge, Kalkfelsen und weite Ausblicke. Es lohnt sich eine kurze Besteigung des Ith-Turms. Weiter geht es am oberen Teil eines Steinbruchs, woraufhin die L425 überquert werden muss. Danach biegt man rechts ab und folgt dem Ith-Hils-Weg über eine kleine Steigung weiter auf dem Kamm. Kurz vor dem Ausstieg nach Wallensen kann man den Hammerslust besichtigen und einen letzten Blick ins Tal genießen. Nach ca. 2 km findet man den Abstieg Richtung Wallensen, der sich am Berg entlang schlängelt und über Feldwege und gepflasterte Straßen ins Dorf führt. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Strecke und gut ausgeschildert, nur Abzweigungen sind an 2-3 Stellen nicht so leicht zu erkennen. Außerdem gibt es keine Einkehrmöglichkeit auf diesem Etappenabschnitt. In normalem Tempo ist die Strecke auch, wie angegeben, in fünf bis fünfeinhalb Stunden zu schaffen.
